First impressions matter. A study by a University of Toledo psychology professor concluded that the first 30 seconds make or break the connection between two people when they meet for the first time. This is why the team at Wings works so hard to give each woman that special combination of an appropriate look and the self-confidence she needs for her interview and first few weeks in her new job.

 

Women come to Wings for good quality clothing in current styles, both professional and business casual. To supply this cost-effectively, we only accept new or gently worn clothing that is clean and on hangers. (We need to be able to send a client out directly to an interview in the clothes she gets from Wings.)

 

Also, please contact Wings before conducting a clothing or accessory drive. While this is a great way to support us, we often have special needs or limited storage space. Working with us directly will ensure your clothing drive is a success.

We accept spring/summer donations from March 1 through July 31 and fall/winter donations from September 1 through January 31. During August and February, we transition our clothing closets; thank you for your patience during these seasonal changeover periods.

 

If you have interview-ready clothing that you would like to donate, please contact us to discuss your donation and Wings’ current needs.

Notes:
Clothing donations to Wings are tax-deductible. You can pick up a clothing donation receipt at the time of your donation.

Some very high quality clothing donated to Wings is put on consignment to raise funds for the purchase of specifically needed clothing items and shoes.

Due to liability exposure, Wings does not pick up donations.

Excess clothing may be passed on to other non-profit organizations.
