Spring Fashion Trend: Divide and Conquer

This spring, stretch your wardrobe without busting your wallet. The secret? Divide and conquer. Start with a gray or black suit. Then split up the pieces and accessories to create new looks. Pair your skirt or pants with a light sweater or blouse. Wear your jacket separately as a blazer and pair it with tailored pants or a swingy, knee-length skirt. For a casual Friday look, combine the blazer with darker-wash denim. Add a belt or long necklace for more impact. Get more mileage out of your wardrobe and freshen up your look in the process!

There's Still Time to Register for Our Spring Fashion Show

The clock is ticking...but there's still time left to register for our second annual Spring Fashion Show, which will be held on Saturday, March 21st, at Immaculata University from 10 AM to 2 PM.

During this important fundraiser for Wings, women from the community will model outfits from local boutiques and area designers. While checking out the fashions on the runway, you can enjoy a selection of brunch treats and desserts, participate in one of three style workshops, and bid for gorgeous high-fashion items in our silent auction. An expert panel will even be on hand to judge a special "Client Volunteer Challenge."

Jennifer Lewis-Hall of WPHL-17 TV will serve as the show's emcee. Don't miss out on the fun...register today!

Wings Celebrates Kennett Square Grand Opening

Civic leaders, local organizations, and friends of Wings braved the snowy weather on January 21st to celebrate the grand opening of our new Kennett Square facility.

Those in attendance had the opportunity to tour our beautiful new site and take in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Many also contributed new or gently used jewelry to help stock our growing accessory closet. Located at 457 Birch Street in Kennett Square, our new facility is officially open for business and is already busy serving women in need in southern Chester County.

Top 3 Ways to Support Wings

Wings for Success is able to assist women in need thanks to people like you who care about our mission and want to make a difference. Looking to better the lives of women and their families? Below are the top 3 ways you can support Wings:

1. Register for our Spring Fashion Show. One of our biggest fundraisers of the year, this event combines fashion, fun, and a little friendly competition. Register today!

2. Donate to our wish list. Currently, our wardrobe closet is in need of black handbags and new body shapers. To donate either of these items, please contact Diane Mills at 610-644-6323 ext. 4.

3. Donate funds. Wings uses all monetary donations very cost-effectively. A modest donation can go a long way toward outfitting a woman with confidence!

Volunteer Spotlight: Donna Holloway

As a Professional Skin Care and Color Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, Donna Holloway understands the importance of a strong outward appearance in making a positive first impression.

Since Wings first opened its doors, Donna has been instrumental in making over many of our clients. "My goal is to make them feel that they can conquer anything because they feel beautifully confident!" Donna says, noting that her time spent with each client is like a "paycheck of the heart."

We thank Donna for her many years of service and for sharing her time and talent to help our clients look and feel their very best.

Client Success Quote

As usual, we'll let one of our clients have the last word:

“I have never experienced anything like this—it really did wonders for my self-esteem and hopes. I will be back once I find that dream job. I can’t miss with what I have now!”
