Main Line Chamber’s Society
of Professional Women
Features Wings
Wings For Success was honored to be the featured non-profit at a recent luncheon held by the Main Line Society of Professional Women (SPW). SPW, the Main Line Chamber of Commerce’s newest program, provides a forum for professional women to build strategic relationships to help them achieve their goals and impact their community. At each event, the group features a non-profit organization to assist the organization in spreading their mission.
At the sold out luncheon on July 22nd, SPW featured Wings. More than 100 attendees listened to Mary Pat Knauss, Wings Board President-elect, share her perspective on what makes Wings such a special resource for helping local economically disadvantaged women obtain work-appropriate clothing and build self-confidence. The luncheon also included a fashion accessory drive for Wings. Attendees donated dozens of new and gently used handbags, scarves and jewelry. These generous donations will help with the important step of putting the finishing touches on a Wings client’s work attire. |
