Jill Laufenberg Executive Director
Since 2017, Jill has been working alongside Program Managers, Board of Directors, Volunteers, Funders and Community Partners to implement program goals and objectives, plan and oversee events designed to increase the visibility of Wings for Success in the communities we serve. Jill oversees operations for the Exton & Kennett Square offices, where staff and volunteers provide advice, apparel and advocacy to women as they meet the challenges of obtaining and sustaining viable employment. Jill’s role as the Executive Director is to cast a vision for the future, manage the staff, oversee fundraising efforts, support the Board’s strategic plan, and continue making a positive difference in the lives of the women we support. Jill had previously served as a Major Donor Development officer for two national non-profits; one headquartered in Silicon Valley and the other in Colorado Springs. She is an ordained minister with degrees from Philadelphia Biblical University, as well as her certification in Organizational Leadership from Wharton School of Business and is currently active in their Executive Education.
Carol Vidal Hernandez Program Manager of Kennett Square
Carol previously worked for two of our referral partners, Maternal and Child Health Consortium (MCHC) and Kennett Area Community Services (KACS),where her experience in the community, leading volunteers, and her work with vulnerable populations serves as a strong asset to the team at Wings for Success. Carol’s bilingual English/Spanish communication skills allow her to connect with the Spanish-speaking women in Southern Chester County that benefit from our services. Carol manages the day-to-day operations of the Kennett Square location and cultivate relationships with like-minded partners in the community.
Meredith has a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Ohio University and worked for Montgomery County Department of Recreation, in Maryland, for a little over 14 years. Her experience as a Program Manager overseeing countywide programs has given her the experience to oversee volunteers and our new space in the Exton Square Mall.
Meredith is married and has raised 2 successful girls. While raising her girls she has stayed active in the schools as a volunteer and as a volunteer at Chester County Hospital on their auxiliary. Meredith manages the day-to-day operations of the Exton location and cultivate relationships with like minded partners in the community.
Before joining Wings for Success as a volunteer stylist in December 2019, Lorena organized and managed after school and summer programs, taught Spanish GED, and more recently became a part of the After The Bell team as a PT Activities Manager, and an academic advisor with the Escalera Program with LCH.
Lorena is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health at Immaculata University. Lorena brings to Wings her passionate, versatile and focused mindset. She will use her position at Wings to make a difference in her community using educational workshops to empower women to become their own advocate and to reach their best self.
Jane came to us in 2021 after a long career as an operations executive in local and global IT organizations. Her background in management, organizational efficiency and collaboration are just some of the areas of expertise she will bring to Wings for Success. Jane’s primary focus at Wings will be monthly tracking and reporting, assisting with donor acknowledgements and other communications, as well as participating in event execution. Jane has a BA in Business Management from Western Illinois University, as well as a certification in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University. In addition to her work at Wings, Jane writes a blog about Cape May, NJ dedicated to helping people learn about and love her favorite small beach town.
Shannon David is the mother of two teenage daughters and has been a volunteer stylist with Wings since September 2019. Her 15+ years as a manager in the financial services industry has given her the leadership and social skills to help us build out a network of passionate volunteers with an experienced eye to help advise our clients on professional appearance. Her positivity, compassion, love for style and clothes has helped give our clients the confidence they need for that big job interview or first day at a new job. Shannon believes that feeling your best begins with loving yourself and looking your best, and that is our goal for each woman who comes to us. We want them to leave loving every new outfit they receive and feeling ready to conquer anything!
