Virtual Event – Thursday, October 8th
Our virtual event opened with pre-party classic rock music by Blue Sky Band, who also played live at our in-person event the next evening!
Guests joined us over Zoom and Facebook Live from the comforts of their homes for our inspirational program, featuring guest host, Lisa Robertson (Owner of LisaRobertson.com). Wings Executive Director, Jill Laufenberg, shared how Wings is continuing to serve women in our community and how we are reaching new groups of women because of the pandemic.
Our virtual program also included messages from volunteers, our event sponsor – Porsche of The Main Line, Wings staff, our Board President, and most importantly, a Wings client, Melissa, who shared her story of how Wings supported her in her time of need.
It was a gorgeous fall evening for our in-person event at Vanguard ID Systems, where we could safely gather outside and spend time with our supporters – we have missed seeing everyone in person!
Our major sponsor, RDS / Porsche of The Main Line, brought several high-end luxury cars for our guests to admire, while they enjoyed the classic rock tunes of Blue Sky Band. While mingling, guests also sampled beer from Victory Brewing Company, white & red Harvest Sangrias, a specialty cocktail with Manatawny Still Works Three Bitches Vodka, and delicious catering by Arianna’s Gourmet Cafe.
Wings Board President, Rehana Wolfe, and Executive Director, Jill Laufenberg, shared messages about how vital community support has been in allowing Wings to continue providing our services during this pandemic. This support is helping restore hope, bring transformation and reshape futures for the women of our community, at a time when they need it most.
We are beyond grateful to all who supported our fundraiser through sponsorships, donations of products, services, and funds, guests who joined us virtually, in person and by participating in our raffle, and our dedicated team of volunteers.
Through our combined efforts, we are able to continue empowering women while steering them to success with work apparel, job readiness advice and advocacy.
